Product uses
Butyl acetate-HS is a solvent with uses and performance similar to those of n-butyl acetate; however, its price is lower than that of n-butyl acetate. Due to its composition of multiple esters and a small amount of alcohol, it exhibits better solvency for nitrocellulose in the production of wood coatings compared to n-butyl acetate. In the formulation of thinners (tinner), it serves the same purpose as n-butyl acetate. Moreover, since Butyl acetate-HS contains 17%–22% amyl acetate, its aroma is more fragrant and superior to that of n-butyl acetate, making it more popular among construction workers when preparing thinners using Butyl acetate-HS.
