N-Butyl acetate
n-Butyl acetate, also known as butyl acetate, butyl ester of acetic acid, or n-butyl ethanoate, CAS No. 123-86-4, is a clear, colorless flammable liquid with a pleasant fruity odor. It exhibits excellent solvency for cellulose acetobutyrate, ethyl cellulose, chlorinated rubber, polystyrene, methyl methacrylate resins, and numerous natural gums such as tannin, Manila gum, gutta-percha resin, and damar resin.
